True HEPA Particulate Filter

The True HEPA Filter traps over 99.97% of all microscopic airborne contaminants in the air down to 0.3 micron in size. True HEPA is the industry standard particle filter that provides a superior protection from sub-micron airborne contaminants. This includes: mold spores, plant spores, pollen, house dust mites and debris, lung damaging dust, pet dander, bird feather dust, sub-micron particles in tobacco smoke, wildfire smoke, smoke from wood burning stove or furnace, etc.

Carbon Canister Chemical and Odor Filter

The Chemical an Odor Filter canister contains a substantial amount (6.5 lbs.) of adsorbent containing a mixture of regular activated carbon from coconut shell with zeolite. Large amount of adsorbent is essential for speedy and thorough removal of all regular chemicals including, but not limited to:

• cuisine odors
• pet odors
• chemicals in cigar and cigarette smoke
• wildfire smoke
• smoke from wood burning stove or furnace
• household chemicals
• and many more.

Important Notice!
True HEPA filter and Activated Carbon filter canister in Austin Air units are combined together in One Filter Assembly. As such, the whole filter assembly needs to be replaced when either True HEPA or Activated carbon filter reaches the end of its lifetime.

Pre-Filter Dirt and Dust Filter

The PermaFilt pre-filter is the first line of defense. It covers the entire internal surface of the polluted air intake (perforated grill).
Its main purpose is to trap large dust, dirt particles, hair, lint thus protecting fine True HEPA filter from fast contamination and extending its lifetime.
PermaFilt pre-filter is available in two colors: Black for units in Black and Midnight Blue colors, White for units in Sandstone and White colors.
Located right behind the perforated metal grill of a polluted air intake, pre-filter the pre-filter can be easily vacuumed from dust and dirt right through the grill and easily replaced at a minimal cost if it gets ruined or dirty.
The Free Pre-filter of a matching color is included with each new filter assembly.

Motor Fan Assembly

Austin Air HealthMate Junior is powered by the energy efficient split capacitor motor with centrifugal fan.
It is rated at 200 CFM and delivers sufficient volume of air to purify large open area or multiple adjacent rooms up to 750 sq. ft. @ 2 ACH and 8 foot high ceiling.
The 3-Speed fan control has a sufficient number of speed settings for most household or office air cleaning applications.
The durable motor is rated for a long continuous operation at high RPM and a for long lifetime.
The rubber shock absorbers insulate the motor from the body and help reduce the associated with motor vibration and noise.
The power consumption on High setting doesn't exceed 80 Watts making it only pennies a day to operate Austin Air HealthMate Junior 24 x 7. 

Durable All Steel Body

The Austin Air HealthMate Junior all steel durable, impact resistant body provides more than adequate protection to the internal content and filters from accidental damage.
The appliance quality baked-on powder coat has a high resistance to scratching, scuffing, burning and stain.
The chemically inert textured power coating is available in choice of four attractive colors: White, Black, Sandstone and Midnight Blue to match most decors.
The 360° Polluted air intake made of perforated steel promotes an unimpeded air flow and improves the overall air purifier performance.
The louvered Clean air outlet on one side of the air purifiers at the top deck of the unit is away from dust and dirt on the floor.
Its design allows for a directional delivery of clean air and helps improve air circulation.
