AirPura 400 Standard Prefilter Pack of 2 is AirPura Polyester based standard Prefilter for use in AirPura 400 Series portable air purifiers.
AirPura standard Prefilter is a 3/4 inch thick polyester based woven filter with an effective surface area of 350 square inches.
The prefilter serves as the first stage of the air filtration system in all models of AirPura 400 Series portable air purifiers with an exception of AirPura T400 and T400DLX models, which employ the AirPura special Tar-Barrier pre-filter of Blue color.
The purpose of prefilter is to trap larger size dust and dirt particles, lint, hair and protect fine True HEPA and carbon filters from faster contamination and extend their lifetime.
Conveniently placed behind the polluted air intake (metal mesh), the prefilter can be vacuumed right through the mesh with a soft brush and easily replaced with new one when it gets very dirty or ruined.
The pre-filter's typical lifetime - up to 12 months (under normal residential conditions).
The chemically inert Unbleached Pesticide-free Cotton Prefilter is available instead of the Standard one for concerned individuals upon request at extra cost.
