Filtration Efficiency for Allergens and Dust.
AllerAir I600 employs oversized HEPA filter with 100 sq. ft. of hospital grade warm rolled HEPA filter media packed with 10 pleats per inch.This results in the largest filtration capacity for all solid airborne contaminates (allergens, lung damaging dust, etc.) among all AllerAir air purifiers and makes it the model of choice for large scale airborne particle filtration among most portable air purifiers available on the market.
AllerAir C600 and AllerAir T600 air purifiers on the other hand, employ HEPA-Barrier post filter that has significantly lower filtration efficiency for allergens and dust than true HEPA filter in other AllerAir models.
Regular Chemicals and Odor Filtration (Adsorption).
AllerAir C600 air purifier employs the largest amount (26 lbs.) of regular adsorbent mix per unit. The significant amount of adsorbent involved in the air cleaning process and the increased dwell time in extra deep 3" carbon bed canister result in the highest adsorption capacity for over 4000 regular chemicals and odors among all AllerAir air purifiers.Relatively small Carbon Weave filter in AllerAir H600 air purifier and the total absence of the carbon filter in AllerAir I600 air purifier render the lowest filtration capacity for chemicals and odors.
Specific Chemicals and VOC Filtration (Adsorption).
Titanium Dioxide Photo-Catalytic Oxidizer used in AllerAir P600 air purifier dramatically increases the range of dangerous airborne chemicals that can be neutralized safely, effectively and completely.This range includes previously hard to remove specific chemicals such as: formaldehyde, radon, ammonia, mercury vapors, pesticides, carbon monoxide, PCBs, dioxin, toluene, Aldehydes, etc. Titanium dioxide (TiO2) coating in conjunction with the UV light creates the photocatalytic oxidation process that instantly breaks molecular bonds and reduces airborne chemicals to smaller safer compounds, until only carbon dioxide and water vapor are left.
Along with 18 lbs. of coconut shell carbon, this makes AllerAir P600 air purifier the model of choice for the most effective and speedy airborne specific chemical and VOC abatement.
